Cold Country Vines & Wines

Marquette

The Marquette grape is a grandson of Pinot Noir. It is cold hardy to -36◦ F and sets a new standard in cold hardy wine grapes. The vines have open, orderly, and upright growth, which makes it desirable for efficient vineyard management. Marquette wine has a deep red color and desirable flavors and aromas of cherry and black current. It also has more complex notes of blackberries, pepper, plum, tobacco, leather and spice. It is a medium-bodied red table wine but can also be blended or made into a very good rosé.
